Zack Mansfield

Zack Mansfield manages the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic operations for Square Roots, a program designed to establish value-added relationships with venture-track early stage companies from incorporation through Series A. Zack actively assists clients in business planning, investment preparation, talent evaluation, networking, fundraising strategy and execution. Prior to joining Square 1, Zack spent two years at the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) where he designed and implemented networking and training programs for entrepreneurs. After a stint at a venture-backed software startup, Zack joined Square 1 in 2007 in an analyst role. In 2008, he moved to Square 1′s New York City office to serve as a lender. In this role, Zack was an active member of the NYC entrepreneurial community and developed relationships with a large number of the venture capital firms and entrepreneurs in the region while growing and managing one of Square 1′s largest loan portfolios.

Zack holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is an avid fan of all Tar Heel sports and was a member of the 2001 NCAA champion UNC men’s soccer team.
