Jenn Halweil is an entrepreneur at heart. A double major in electrical engineering and media communication at NC State University, she has started several local companies including Legacy Event Planners, who helped organize and promote TEW. In addition to her involvement in local entrepreneurship, Jenn recently made a splash in international waters by winning Societe Generale’s global business competition, Citizen Act, in spring of last year.

Most recently, Jenn launched her own consulting firm. The company provides insight on strategic development, marketing/PR, and event planning services for eco-friendly technology and social enterprises, gathered from Jenn’s own experiences in these fields. When she is not planning the first Hillsborough Street Festival or providing consulting advice for local companies, including The Electric Vehicle Experience, TransLoc, and Spokes, she enjoys traveling, discovering the stories of interesting people, and sharing these through writing and film.
