Glenn Jackman

Glenn Jackman is currently the Director, Textile Development for the Textile, Apparel, Hosiery, and
Textile Machinery sector of the North Carolina Department of Commerce (NCDOC), International Trade
Division. This Division is responsible for developing overseas business opportunities for North Carolina
firms.

Before joining the NCDOC, Glenn was the owner, President and CEO of Holiday Sportswear, an apparel
manufacturing company with over 300 employees based in Miami, Florida. Holiday Sportswear
had facilities in Florida, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Haiti, Bolivia, Columbia,
Puerto Rico, Mexico, Hong Kong, and the Phillipines. During his twenty-one year tenure at Holiday
Sportswear, Glenn learned the importance of cultivating and maintaining overseas contacts in the
ever-changing textile and apparel industry. He has brought a wealth of experience in this area to the
NCDOC, and has subsequently assisted numerous NC textile companies in developing lucrative overseas
networks for their products, particularly in Europe and Asia. Glenn attended the University of Miami
for undergraduate work, and has since taken additional classes at Miami in International Trade and
Marketing.

In addition to his professional achievements, Glenn has also served as President of the Florida Apparel
Manufacturers Association, and has served on the US Commerce’s Export Textile Advisory Committee.
He assists NC textile companies in adapting to the volatile global textile market. Glenn has organized
trade missions to virtually every significant global textile market, and from these endeavors has
generated significant financial returns to the NC textile industry.
